Happy July! Sizzling Summertime Showers and Temperatures~

I hope everyone had a great and fun week! It was a fairly uneventful week, aside from the extreme weather. There were days of unbearable, scorching heat as well as days full of torrential downpours. Otherwise, I spent my time babysitting, writing, working on art, watching anime, and hanging out with Tsuki.

The only real event of note was a family gathering; I ended up going to my aunt and uncle's 25th anniversary celebration and vow renewal. My younger cousins were being a hoot, with 1 year-old Evan, waving and saying hi to everyone, to his 3 year-old sister Addie telling him to, "Go on and get!" so she could eat her cake. It was nice to see my relatives again, and thankfully, the intense thunderstorm let up for the celebration.

Things are definitely going to start getting busier as more summer birthdays roll around and since the boys I babysit are starting their online summer classes this week. I'm curious to see how they handle the classes and how much encouragement and guidance they'll need. Hopefully, it won't be nearly as hot, so I'll have the energy to give them all the assistance/coaching they'll need because the heat is a dastardly foe that saps away all my energy.

My dream recall was a little fuzzy when I woke up Monday morning, but from what I could remember I ended up helping at the local children's museum. It ended up being closed to the public, and there was some kind of party going on at one part if it. There was also some upcoming exhibit that was about to be released that I wanted to check. My mom ended up showing up, and she was allowed to check things out because I happen to be there. The museum apparently added three new aquariums, but they were all in the shape of clear bath tubs for some reason. There was some kind of new spaceship exhibit, too, that required you to solve mysteries. We ended up checking out the new art exhibit, and this artist ended up playing with the idea of pointillism and Legos. More probably happened, but that's everything I could remember.

I was tempted to stay in bed and go back to sleep Tuesday morning when I woke up; I've just been feeling so sleepy and lethargic lately (probably at least in part due to the intense summer sun and scorching heat). My dream recall was rather hazy, but it seemed to be some kind of competition/game/battle taking place. There were some My Hero Academia characters, like Mineta, there, as well as Zakuro from Tokyo Mew Mew and the cat from The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Other people took part in the event, but I either didn't remember who they were or recognize them. There was a group of players/contestants running around with guns, and this one guy had been fleeing them on the streets. He saw them coming, noticed an open balcony door on the next floor up, and did a backflip from the ground through the balcony door, seamlessly and effortlessly getting out of sight. There seemed to be power ups where people could turn Godzilla size, and they could use all sorts of battle moves and special attacks (think the kamehameha wave). It sort of seemed like a free-for-all. The cat even seemed to be able to mind control another player, having them lose their will to fight and obeying the cat's commands, essentially becoming a slave; the cat seemed to be the leader of a cat gang, too. A lot was going on, but I'm not sure what the point of the whole thing was. Maybe there was a prize, but that's everything I could remember once awake.

There's been some serious lethargy energy lately, as it was a struggle waking up again on Wednesday. From what I could remember when I woke up, my dream took place at a park. It was some kind of family gathering between both my mom's and dad's side of the family. A bunch of my cousins were there, and I know several of my aunts were there. It seemed like even some of April's cousins were there. A kid at the park had some kind of kiddie green camera and wanted to record things, but there was some kind of function that allowed it to connect to Nintendo games and allow you to play as Yoshi; apparently, the kid was obsessed with playing as Yoshi in all Nintendo games. My aunt Tiffany decided that more of my family would show up if we met at Sam's Club for some reason, and I pointed out she could get cheaper gas there. She got really excited, but I cautioned her that it closed at 7pm because it was apparently Sunday evening. More probably happened, but that's what I recalled once in the waking world.

My dream recall was fairly fuzzy when I woke up Thursday morning. There was something about going to some store with the boys and meeting up with their dad there. April and Corliss ended up being there, and we unexpectedly stumbled across a crystal section. There were so many cool options there. I remembered finding a pair of fluorite bunny necklaces. There were cool tourmaline necklaces, too. I showed some awesome, flashy labradorite to Corliss, and she immediately fell in love. We ended up having quite a haul. The staff ended up giving us a bunch of sparklers as a gift for some reason, too. The dream transitioned, and I seemed to be at home; the thing was, my youngest brother seemed to be a kid again, and he happened to have another little boy over for a playdate. My brother started crying when his friend had to go home. Then there was something about infiltrating a secret group; Giovanni from Team Rocket happened to be there, but he was fine with me infiltrating the group. He even helped me, throwing his boss off my trail and answering the phone, as if everything was normal. No idea who his boss was, but Giovanni actually seemed friendly. More likely happened, but that's all I could remember once in the waking world.

It felt like a lot happened in my dreams when I woke up Friday morning, but I remembered bits and pieces. There was something about being by this lake or river at what seemed to be like a park. There was one of my former classmates from school there for some reason, and it seemed to be some kind of fireworks display. Then there was something about going for a drive and heading towards a museum I think. I'd pass by some pedestrians or drivers and exclaimed that I loved them, expressing some kind of humanitarian love for all of humanity. Details were muddled.

The main thing I could remember was experiencing some kind of combination of Re:Zero's return by death and the time loop of God Troubles Me; it seemed I was meant to save people, but each "round" there was a new development that needed to be resolved. I seemed to be "working" with a god-like being (gave off the impression of being like the land/food god in God Troubles Me while looking kind of similar to Dearia from Dragon Goes House Hunting). It was more that this being provided me assistance, having a wealth of information and resources while being able to recall previous loops, yet I was responsible for actually fixing/resolving things. The last loop before I woke up involved some sort of mind-control sorcery that resulted in a "zombie" slave/puppet in the sense that they refused to stop until the objective was finished and would even keep getting back up despite injuries and what would have killed a regular person. That loop I had been supposed to help out this pair of twins, apparently named Mika and Rin. They had been separated, and apparently Mika had basically been trained as a weapon to fight others like the zombie slave. The god-being had helped explain things and give insight on the sorcery components, but the zombie-slave had caught us by surprise and killed Mika; everyone had thought she had won because anyone else would have been stopped. I tried to provide some closure and comfort to Rin by helping her see her sister one last time, but everyone claimed they didn't know her. I was feeling like I had royally failed in that loop, with even small acts of kindness backfiring. More likely happened, but that's all I could remember.

My dream recall was pretty fuzzy when I woke up Saturday morning. I think there was something about meeting up with someone or traveling. Details were elusive. I could remember more details when I woke up this morning. The main thing I could remember is that I was pet sitting for someone my mom knows again, but she seemed to have moved. I was on my way to her new place, but there was a lot of traffic for some reason, resulting in me having to take some kind of detour past a movie theater. Then there was something about how she needed the dogs to stay at another house, and my aunt volunteered her home. There was some kind of complication in moving the dogs; she ended up sending me a bunch of text messages, but they were all asking about whether I had heard about this online tool/resource she had just found. Ironically enough, she had stumbled upon AMBSDR and was telling everyone she knew about it. She had even created all this handouts/worksheets about the program. Then there was something about me winning some kind of contest and getting like $2000. Not sure what the contest was for, but it was exciting. That's everything I could remember from my dream.

It was a pretty chill week of babysitting; the boys remained inside to beat the intense heat. They enjoyed discussing movies they've watched, new figurines that are being released, their upcoming vacation, and any other topic that struck their fancy. The younger brother ended up going to his friends for D&D, too. The boys were super grateful to be off of school, so they could take it easy and avoid the summer's blistering sun and blazing heat. Can't say I blame them.

Tsuki was her typical nutty self, getting into all sorts of antics, like knocking water bottles onto the floor, dragging toys around the house, stealing books, and darting from room to room. She enjoyed chilling in her cat house and all of her cat naps, as per usual, getting all cozy and snuggling. Tsuki also had a blast watching the rain during the thunderstorms and sprawling out underneath the fan or by the AC vent during the peak heats. And, as always, she was adorable, fluffy, and cuddly.

Have a blast the rest of this weekend, making space for joy, fun, love, and laughter! As important as it is to be "productive" and check off your to-do list, keep your priorities straight; time can speed past in the blink of an eye, so live a life worthwhile rather than one full of regrets. There's always time for what you value most when you prioritize properly; getting caught up in the frenzy of modern society's daily life will consume all of your waking hours before you know it. Listen to your heart, follow your passions, and align yourself with what resonates with your soul; write a story of your dreams because you're the creator! Stay blessed with love and light, everyone~

Food for thought for the week:
