April Showers

I hope everyone is doing well and that the month of April and energies are treating you kindly. We've been getting the April showers (so maybe we'll get plenty of beautiful May flowers). Sleep and emotions have been rather wacky as of late; talking to friends has revealed that they have been going through the like, as well. Not really sure why things are just so off. Emotions have been a roller coaster and telling all sorts of falsities that they proclaim are true (despite knowing for a fact they aren't true). As such, motivation and energy to do things have been totally tanked, and it's been struggle bus big time. Granted, there was ebb and flow to this intensity, but overall it's been hard. Not like there hasn't been good things that happened this past week, though. There has been great things, too, but it's been rough. Maybe it's involved with the upcoming full moon. Maybe it has to do with solar activity. Maybe the Mercury retrograde. Maybe something else entirely. Who can say. Here's hoping things have gone smoother for you all!

Sleep continued to be a struggle. Sunday and Monday nights were tricky falling asleep and a challenge to stay asleep. As such, dream recall was nonexistent. Tuesday and Wednesday nights were more of the same, and dream recall was a complete blur. Sleep was still somewhat tricky Thursday night/Friday morning, but it went smoother than it had in a while. I felt somewhat well-rested when I woke up (even though there had been some struggle in staying asleep). Dream recall was kind of hazy, but I had been at some kind of store with people. I ended up finding a cute hat on sale for like $2.69. Something seemed to be going down at the store as I meandered around, but details got muddled. Couldn't remember anything else once awake.

Friday night/Saturday morning was more of the same. Struggling to fall asleep and stay asleep, resulting in a nonexistent dream recollection. Saturday night/this morning was pretty similar, but I could remember a bit from the dream. I had been at a school for some reason. I went out to the parking lot (it was raining for some reason). The lot was pretty empty with only a handful of cars. I went to mine and pulled out these two small-ish balls (maybe the size of those softer basketballs that you use with the hoops you hook onto doors). I think the balls were kind of tie dye-ish. I went back into the school and met up with a class. The class seemed to be young-ish students, and I think my co-teacher from the preschool was the teacher. I remember the students asking me things (probably involving the two balls I had with me), but details got murky, and that's all I could remember once awake.

The boys were excited for a 4-day week since they're feeling the end of the school year lag. They're definitely ready for summer break. The pair have been getting on each other's nerves a bit and just seem ready to relax and do their own things. Not like they necessarily hate school or learning, though. They'll tell me all sorts of things, and the younger brother is loving his cooking class. They'll also talk to me about memes, theories, video games, etc.; they wanted to know if I had watched the newest episodes of Bluey (and those episodes were quite good). I hope they enjoyed their long weekend and were able to rest up.

Tsuki was her typical, goofy self. She enjoyed plenty of cozy cat naps and causing antics and shenanigans. Tsuki is always around and up to something (which sometimes happens to be trouble). Even so, she's super cute and makes us laugh.

As energy levels ebb and flow and life throws curveballs, remember to be gentle with yourself and show yourself some kindness and compassion. All anyone can ever do is their best. Some days it might not look like much, but that doesn't mean your efforts are worth any less. Nurture yourself and give yourself a little more TLC; you'll be able to do so much more with a full cup than an empty one, so don't beat yourself up if your cup is currently empty. You're amazing, so give yourself more credit. You keep moving forward, step by step, even if your steps are small. Each bit of progress adds up, and you'll have come so far before you know it. You've got this, and it's okay to take it easy sometimes. Life is all about a balance of action and rest. Find your balance, identify what your body needs, and live according to your own pace. Your story doesn't have to look like anyone else's; it's okay to do things differently. Keep being your amazing self and have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
