Spring Break is Here~

I hope everyone is doing well; things have been feeling wonky, likely due to energy. Sleep has been a struggle (more so than usual) for me and other people I've talked to. The weather's been acting bipolar. People have been acting up. It's been a lot, but there have been brief reprieves of calm. I guess it could be due in part to the upcoming equinox and lunar eclipse. Whatever the reason, I hope you have been taking time for self-care and being gentle with yourself. Life is full of twists and turns, highs and lows, ebb and flow; it can be a wild ride at times, so do yourself a favor and prioritize your well-being; you'll be able to handle all the surprises and obstacles a lot better that way.

My dream recall was kind of muddled when I woke up Monday morning. It seemed to begin as an otome game. It seemed to be a preview of a new playable character/route. The character seemed to be Keith from My Next Life as a Villainess, but it wasn't identical. The preview showed him letting his walls down and feeling all warm and as if he was a puppy, affectionately cared for and loved. The dream seemed to transition to a store. Might have been Target. There were some sort of shenanigans going on, and I think some people were trying to steal. There was this girl who got some kind of special event frog lollipop that was limited edition. There was this pair of guys (one of which seemed to be Dimitri from Anastasia) who seemed to be in on the theft plan. Turns out they were just being used by this elderly lady that would put on this loving grandmother act; she fully intended on throwing the pair under the bus and letting them take the fall, though. The girl heard this but acted like she didn't, playing oblivious and seeming to want to expose the lady and her true nature to the police. There was something about this egg-shaped, plastic Tsum-Tsum toy that had a hair accessory that was either Daisy the duck or Ariel for some reason, too. More might have happened, but that's all I could remember upon waking.

Dream recall was super hazy when I woke up Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Being awake was really challenging on Tuesday, too, and it felt kind of painful. There seems to be some kind of energetic thing going on messing with sleep, based on what I've been hearing from others. My dream recall was kind of hazy when I woke up Thursday morning, but I was able to remember some of the details. I had been at a school for some reason (seemed to be at least similar to my former middle school). We had gotten dismissed for the day, and it seemed to be before some kind of break. There seemed to be some kind of almost "lottery" system with getting a ride at dismissal; these kids were trying to avoid getting a ride in this one car (to be fair it didn't seem to be the must well-taken care of car). I ended up getting a ride with another girl from some guy. He was pretty chatty as he drove. It got to the point where I ended up asking him where he was taking us and if he was "setting us free" (into the wild or something) because it was getting more and more "wild" and it seemed like we were approaching a dead end with some kind of lake. He ended up going on this little spiel about how we were too good for him, so he was taking us back where we belong (or something like that). Not sure if he meant girls in general or us specifically. Then it got revealed to him that he actually needed us and wouldn't be able to do much without us, so he changed his mind. There was some lady hiding out in the trees or something on the way back. Not sure what that was about because details got real muddled. That's all I could remember once awake.

I was jolted awake early with the panic that I had overslept and was late on Friday morning. I had not, but it was a rather intense way to wake up. I was feeling rather exhausted, and thankfully, I was able to go back to sleep and get some more rest. Dream recall was a complete blur, though, so I have no idea what transpired while I was sleeping. I slept better Friday night/Saturday morning. Not sure exactly what transpired in the dream realm, but April was involved. I had given her $10 for some reason and then she ended up giving it back to me. Not sure what that was about, but that's all I could remember once I woke up.

Dream recall was kind of fuzzy when I woke up this morning. Felt like a lot happened, but from what I could remember, I was helping out at the local children's museum in the art studio. It was pretty crowded and busy. I had been keeping an eye on things, making sure everything was good to go for visitors and such. I started getting this weird feeling like I was being stared at. There was this group of like teenagers/young adults being rather boisterous, and one of the guys was giving me this weird look. It was pretty uncomfortable. He started making these like sleazy comments about me to his friends, making them loud enough for me to hear and being like proud of it. I was feeling pretty targeted and like the group was working on some kind of unpleasant plans. I ended up hanging out with some of the other staff, not really wanting to be alone. When I was leaving for the day, the group started following and basically tried to abduct me. I think at that point part of the building caught fire, and people were being evacuated as the fire alarms were going off. I don't think the group ended up being able to do anything, as details got muddled, but it was definitely unnerving.

The boys were excited for a shortened week and the start of spring break on Friday (and the fact that meant they got to go on a cruise). They deserve a nice break with how hard they've been working. The younger brother had a band concert this week, too. They enjoyed discussing Disney, video games, theories, and memes with me; they think the one meme about Chili (Bluey's mom) being the Australian version of security cameras to be quite humorous. I started pet sitting their dogs and fish on Saturday, and the dogs were excited to hang out with me.

I also got some cookies and ended up sharing them with April and her daughter; they gave me a tour of their new home and had me hangout with all of their pets. It was a lot of fun, and we had some beautiful weather.

Tsuki was her typical cute and feisty self. She had a blast playing in boxes, hunting for bugs, getting into antics, knocking things over, and engaging in shenanigans. Tsuki loved her cozy cat naps, lazy lounging on her window shelf, and snuggling up with me, too; I was not feeling all that great due to sleep issues, and she was all to eager to snuggle up with me and snooze (unfortunately, naps remained elusive for me, as per usual, despite spending over 4 hours trying). Tsuki makes everything better, though!

Life is a journey, so you might as well enjoy it to the best of your ability. Granted, there will be hardships, trials, obstacles, detours, missteps, mistakes, and distractions. There can be turbulence and what feels like impossible climbs. Some nights may seem so dark that you feel like you'll never be able to see the light again. Even so, remember that the storm shall pass. No matter how challenging, how painful, how exhausting something might be, it won't last forever. See if you can find reasons to be grateful and appreciative for the good that you do have. See if there are any reasons to laugh, smile, and have fun. See if you can make the most of the gift of time you've been given. It's your story, so you might as well make the most of it. Take time for self-care and to refill your cup. You matter, and not only will you feel better, but you'll be able to engage in life at your peak form. It's okay to take breaks. It's okay to not have all the answers and take time to figure things out. It's okay to go at a slower pace. Do what's right and best for you; it doesn't have to look the same as everyone else. You do you, be gentle with yourself, and live a life you find worthwhile. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
