Happy Spring Equinox!

I hope everyone has been doing well! Wishing everyone a pleasant start to a new season and a prosperous spring to those in the Northern hemisphere. Not sure why, but sleep has been pretty elusive lately; it can always take me a while to fall asleep, but I kept waking up when I normally would remain asleep until my alarm. It would be less of a big deal if I could fall back asleep, but it would always end up with me waking up like 2-3 hours before my alarm and then being unable to go back to sleep. So, despite this being a "break" for me, it wasn't all that restful. I guess it could be due to energies, since we have the full moon in Libra and lunar eclipse coming up. Hopefully, things will calm down and let me get some decent sleep; lack of sleep is no joke, but life doesn't just wait around for us, unfortunately.

Dream recall was pretty hazy when I woke up Monday morning, but it somehow involved babysitting. Not sure exactly what transpired, though. I was tempted to stay snuggled up with the blankets in bed when I woke up Tuesday morning; dream recall was a complete haze, and I wasn't sure what ended up transpiring. I woke up several times and had a bit of difficulty staying asleep Wednesday morning; I guess that's why dream recall was a complete blur. Sleeping and waking up Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning wasn't any better. I'd end up waking up sporadically and not getting all that much sleep. Then it would be time to take care of dogs. This morning was more of the same, struggling with being snatched away from sleep and not being able to fall back into slumber. There was vague vestiges of dreams, though. There was something about a school, some kind of power outage, and cherry blossom trees. Not sure what specifically happened, but that's what I could recall.

The boys were on spring break this week, so I got to take care of their dogs, Pearl and Theo, as well as their fish. The fish were super chill. The dogs had their calmer moments, but they kept wanting to fight each other. It got to be a bit much. Otherwise, they were happy, though.

Tsuki was bummed that I spent a good chunk of the week away for pet sitting, but she still loved hanging out with me and being her normal goofy self. We experienced more bipolar weather, so when it was warmer, Tsuki was savor sunshine out on the porch while when it was colder, she get snuggled up for cozy cat naps. She enjoyed snoozing in her favorite spots, like the back of the couch and her precious chair; she also enjoy napping on a bag. Tsuki engaged in plenty of cat antics, too, playing in boxes, engaging in sneak attacks, and just being a goofy, wild thing. She provides great company.

Life is full of twists and turns, highs, and lows, ebb and flow. Be gentle with yourself as you navigate this journey. All you can do is your best, and some days it might not look like all that much to the outside world. Just because you don't appear to be all that "productive" sometimes doesn't mean you need to be harsh with yourself. Some times you need rest. You can't drive a car on an empty tank, after all. Just like the weather will vary day to day, so will your energy levels. It's okay if you're not able to scale mountains every day. You're only human, after all. Humans have their limits; they have their strengths, skills, and talents, but they also have their areas of growth and challenge. It's okay if you need help. It's okay if you need to take it easy. It's okay if you tell other people no in order to say yes to yourself. Self-care is vital. Show yourself the love, care, and compassion that is your inherent right. You don't need to be "perfect" and have your act all together; you're deserving as you are. You're an incredible person as you are, so do more of what brings you joy, love, and laughter. Take care and have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
