Happy Cinco de Mayo and Happy Mother's Day!

I hope everyone is doing well and that life is treating you kindly! It's been an interesting week; there have been crazy thunderstorms (and even a bunch of tornados where my brother lives which led to power outages), and we dealt with a number of water main breaks that resulted in the entire area being on a boil advisory for three days (it even led to school being cancelled for all the schools in the area).

There's so much rapid change and unexpected developments, and there's a growing number of people that cannot handle it--they end up losing it and lashing out with emotionally volatile explosions. People definitely need to take a chill pill and remember to breathe because their highly charged reactions just make the situations even more challenging for themselves. That's not to say that they aren't allowed to have their human emotions, but it'd be helpful to not have those strong emotions dictate everything that they do (because it doesn't seem like these kind of developments and changes are stopping any time soon). Doing the inner work, building a strong and stable internal foundation, and recognizing that happiness and peace of mind are inside jobs will help make these times so much easier.

It was an atypical week due to the water main break, which resulted in the boys needing to be picked up early (not that they minded going home to relax and have fun); they definitely are ready for summer break. Otherwise, they enjoyed discussing Disney, How to Train Your Dragon, Sonic the Hedgehog, memes, upcoming releases and the like. They debated on whether "live action" movies were worth it and laughed at how hard the Snow White remake bombed, especially compared to A Minecraft Movie. The boys think that the upcoming Lilo and Stitch remake looks pretty promising. They also enjoyed checking out the Chat Music for Snow White and Shrek.

Their mom also started a new job this week, so she had some jitters and nerves. She had online training from home her second day, and she got so frazzled and worked up over the technical difficulties. We got back from the boys' school to find her frantic and stressed out because the laptop appeared to have frozen or something. I helped her walk through potential solutions and get things sorted out; thankfully, I was able to help her calm down and take care of getting the boys and dogs taken care of so she wouldn't have to worry about it. During a break she kept apologizing and thanking me for my help; just seems like the natural thing to do, as "it takes a village." I was happy to help out how I could.

Tsuki enjoyed a pretty chill week, and all the rain definitely brought the sleepy, chill vibes. She enjoyed plenty of cozy cat naps, leisurely lounging, playful antics and shenanigans, sleepy snuggling, hiding and playing with the packing paper, and chilling in her cat house. It was a pretty peaceful week, and Tsuki knew how to make the most of it.

Life is full of twists and turns, changes and surprises. Do your best to keep a calm, level head and live a life of integrity that you can be proud of. We're all human, so we can slip up and make mistakes, but if you truly did your best, you can be proud of that. Use mistakes as learning opportunities to help you grow and do better in the future. None of us have all the answers, so be gentle with yourself, show yourself some love, kindness, and compassion, and do what you can to go with the flow and roll with the punches. These times are unprecedented and full of so much change, so remember to take care of yourself and prioritize your well-being and peace of mind. You've got this, and everything is working out in your ultimate good behind the scenes. Wishing you all the best, take care, and have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

Food for thought for the week:
