Happy October!

I hope everyone is doing well and had a wonderful week! It's hard to believe we're already in the month of October; it feels so surreal and unbelievable. This week was a bit tough, energy-wise. It felt rather intense and left Tsuki and myself feeling rather exhausted. Plus, it was a challenge to get out of bed in the morning, and I was left feeling rather exhausted during the day but fairly energized at night. While I normally sleep in more on the weekend since I don't have to get up to take the boys I babysit to school, I unintentionally slept until noon on Saturday. Considering I didn't do anything out of the ordinary (it was a normal week of hanging out with Tsuki, babysitting/tutoring, writing, and creating art), I can only guess crazy things are going on with energies. I'm hoping they mellow out a bit because it's been intense.

I went on a trip in my dream from Sunday night/Monday morning. I seemed to have traveled to Colorado with my sister and Corliss. We ended up binging an anime that seemed to be Fruits Basket, but at the very least Tohru and Kyo were in it. I think we visited my aunt and cousin. Later we traveled to some kind of school/church/mall. It seemed like some kind of wedding/festival was taking place. There was some kind of park attached to the location. We went exploring and found a whole lot of dimes. We found at least 20. We stopped at some kind of food stall, and Corliss wanted to order French fries. There was something about some kind of anime about a skating competition. At another point there was something about writing about crystals, but that's all I could remember once I woke up.

I was tempted to stay snuggled in bed Tuesday morning, in part because it was so chilly. My dream recall was pretty fuzzy. One part involved art supplies somehow. Another part had me at what seemed to be a bookstore, looking for books to give as gifts to family members. I think my young cousin, Addie, was there, and my uncle John, who passed away in 2020, showed up. I think there was something else about other family members and moving, but details were rather hazy.

It wasn't much easier getting out of bed on Wednesday; it was another chilly morning. My dream recall was rather hazy. There was something about art, something about being at a store like Target, and something about going with my family to meet up with my sister and her boyfriend somewhere. Turns out, the pair was walking, and we ended up driving past them in the car. My sister's boyfriend was kicking a ball along the road as they walked. That's all I could remember upon waking. I was extra cozy when I woke up Thursday morning, which made it rather challenging to get up. My dream involved writing something, but I was unable to recall specific details. Everything was pretty fuzzy, and I couldn't remember what transpired clearly. It wasn't any easier getting up on Friday morning because I was tempted to go back to sleep with how toasty and comfortable I was under the blankets. I didn't remember much of anything from my dreams, but there was something about creating (maybe painting pumpkins?). Otherwise, I had no clue what transpired in the dream realm.

My dream recall was kind of fuzzy when I woke up Saturday morning. From what I could remember, I was out walking about and looked up at the sky. There was some kind of strange aircraft in the sky with blinking lights. It started spewing out cloud coverage, and I couldn't believe my eyes. Somehow, it started turning the clouds into tornadoes. It was rather unsettling and suspicious. I walked to my home (which seemed rather different in the dream), and before I made it inside, I was stopped by some kind of alien/galactic being. They seemed a bit suspicious, but they didn't try to do anything. It seemed like they mainly wanted to learn about humans and observe. I went inside to avoid the various tornados the craft was creating, messaging April to stay safe and passing on what I had just observed. The other being followed me. In this house, there were a lot of levels, and it seemed kind of fancy. My grandpa also lived with us in the dream. The other being ended up becoming my friend I think. At one point I think we went to a mall, and some lady had a private bathroom at the mall that lots of people were using to take baths for some reason. It was odd, and that's all I could remember upon waking.

It was rather difficult getting up this morning; I felt really unmotivated to leave my comfy confines of my covers and rather groggy. I was half asleep for the longest. Eventually, I was able to get myself out of bed, but it wasn't an easy task. From what I could recall, my dream involved some mythological creatures. Not sure if they were real or in a video game. There were fairies for certain. They all seemed pretty nice. There seemed to be some kind of lord (I'm pretty sure he had horns, but I wasn't sure what kind of creature he was) that was looking for some kind of oval cart. This small group of travelers approached in an oval cart that was sentient and seemed to be some kind of live creature; it had lots of teeth, but it seemed friendly. Apparently, that was exactly the kind of cart the lord was looking for, so they teamed up. There was something else about being at a park, and I think it had transitioned smoothly from the creature portion of the dream (but the details were a bit hazy). I had been in a small group (I think with the creatures), but most of the group suddenly disappeared. One remained and helped me try to find the rest of the group. We searched everywhere but were unable to find them. Building after building, area after area, we searched but had no success. I did see one of my former coworkers in one of the buildings, and she asked me, "Hi, Jessica. Who are you?" It was a bit strange, and even she realized it was a strange question after she asked. Eventually, we found this group of people that seemed to be looking for us and were on a field trip. They said they were looking for us everywhere and had been worried, in tears. They took us to some room where people were taking some kind of exam for being a lieutenant. It was odd, but that's all I could remember upon waking up.

The boys were excited for a day off on Monday. I'm not really sure why they had the day off; all I know is that it was a no-school day specifically for students (Conferences are towards the end of October, so it wasn't due to that). We ended up hanging out, and they showed off their favorite fish store. It was pretty cool, although I currently don't have that much of an understanding about fish. I did have a bit of mixed feelings about it since some of the tanks seemed a bit small and rather boring; it just didn't seem like a particularly nice thing to do to any living creature. The fish were gorgeous, though. Wednesday morning when I was driving to their house to pick them up for school, I witnessed three chickens strolling down the road without a care in the world. Turns out, one of their neighbors has chickens, and they got loose. It was an interesting start to the day.

We also discussed past events this week, such as the "Ken Saga;" they boys couldn't believe that our classmates believed April's made up story about dating "Ken," the male model with a Malibu beach house. She didn't actually try to make people believe her; she purposefully went out of her way to make it outlandish and blatantly obvious that it was based off the doll as she pulled information literally off the Ken Barbie doll Wiki page. It all started when she stumbled across the "Ultimate Boyfriend" version of the doll and bought it as a joke, thinking it would be funny to say Ken was her boyfriend. It didn't even matter that she would repeatedly tell people that he wasn't real; they were convinced he was real and would admonish her, "April, just because you're mad at him doesn't mean that Ken isn't real." Eventually, she just gave up and ran with it, using her creativity. Corliss and April even created siblings for Ken, Robbie and Andrea, as well as a friend for him, dubbed "Car Chan." Robbie supposedly was dating Corliss, but they broke up because he was going off to Africa to ride wild elephants, and they claimed that Car Chan's girlfriend was a fish. Somehow, none of this fazed anyone, and they all wanted to meet Ken. It was absurd yet extremely amusing. They boys were dying with laughter when they heard about it while simultaneously being in complete disbelief.

Tsuki was her normal goofy self, but she was definitely feeling the strange energies because she slept a lot this week. Granted, it's not like she never sleeps, but she's practically the Energizer bunny and keeps going and going and going, bouncing off the walls. She was also rather miffed because the remodelers came back, meaning she was confined against her will. Although, she was quite happy to snuggle up with me and a blanket and sleep.

It's been a bit of a crazy week, attending a jam-packed, 3-day summit, kitchen remodels, creating, working, and hanging out with Tsuki. It's hard to believe it's Sunday again. Time is flying, and it feels like I'll blink, and it'll be December. As we approach the chaotic holiday season, make sure to prioritize self-care and not spread yourself too thin. It's all too easy to get caught up in massive to-do lists and put your needs on the backburner (I've been rather guilty of doing so in the past). It's okay to take breaks and rest when needed. There will always be something to do, so ensure you have the energy you need by getting the necessary rest. Prioritize your well-being; you deserve it. Be kind and gentle to yourself. You're doing the best you can. Follow your joy, listen to your heart, and take care. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend, and be blessed with love and light~
