Happy MLK Weekend!

I hope everyone is doing well and staying warm! It's been a busy, cold week, which made it a challenge to get out of bed in the morning. It was a week full of writing, creating art, babysitting/tutoring, and hanging out with Tsuki. I'm looking forward to spring time when it's not quite so cold (although, I certainly wouldn't prefer the intense heat and humidity of summer). Hopefully, everyone's having a wonderful holiday weekend!

It was bitterly cold Monday morning, making it quite difficult to get out of bed. My dream recall was rather fuzzy. There was something about travel and I think something about obtaining some kind of objects/materials. Specific details were elusive, though. It was a struggle falling asleep Monday night, making it all the more challenging to wake up Tuesday morning. It was way too tempting to remain asleep. Dream recall was veiled in a thick haze. There might have been something about travel, but specific details remained elusive.

My dream recall was kind of fuzzy when I woke up on Wednesday morning, but what I could remember was that April, Iris, and Corliss were over. We were getting ready to go to a park. It was rainy. Corliss went inside to get some kind of rain jacket. The sky cleared up and revealed a beautiful night sky full of twinkling stars. That's all I could remember, and I had been quite tempted to go back to sleep. I was still quite sleepy when I woke up Thursday morning and was rather tempted to go back asleep. Dream recall was hazy, and I wasn't able to remember any specific details upon waking. Waking up on Friday felt like the ultimate challenge, and I almost fell back asleep and was so close to being late to taking the boys to school. The cold and not being able to fall asleep at night is doing a number on my physical vessel. It's also making dream recall challenging.

It was glorious being able to sleep in on Saturday morning; with it still being so cold, I really didn't want to get up, so I didn't. It was so nice. My dream recall was veiled in a thick haze, though, so I had no idea what transpired in the dream realm. When I woke up this morning, I ended up unintentionally falling back asleep. It was nice getting some extra sleep, despite how unintentional it was. My dream recall was pretty fuzzy, but there was something about being at a school. When I left the school (with my dad I think), we went to the car parked on some side street. However, it had been disguised/transformed into some playground and my other family members were transformed into some kind of toys/puppets. It was weird. More happened, but the specific details were elusive.

The boys enjoyed discussing anime and video games this week, coming up with all sorts of theories. We got to discussing Pokémon, Sonic Prime, the newest games, One Piece, and a whole lot more. They got into some deep discussions about Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, of all things, too, which was rather interesting to listen in on. They're full of some any interesting ideas and keep things interesting. They're super excited about having a 3-day weekend, too. Can't say that I'm upset about it, either; sleeping in is quite nice.

I also babysat for another family I hadn't seen for months. The kids were so excited to see me, exclaiming that I was the best babysitter there ever was. It was pretty cute. We played games, worked on crafts, chatted, and played with their dog. They were also excited to learn that their parents asked for me to come back the following weekend. They've really missed me, and it was great seeing them again!

Tsuki was her typical goofy self. The cold weather has left her rather lethargic (at least of her standards), so she'll actually take naps that are a few hours long instead of 10-30 minutes before bouncing off the walls again. She's been thoroughly enjoying birdwatching, and she's had a blast with her new remote control mouse toy! Tsuki's also been stealing a bunch of the paper beads I've been making, thinking they're some of the best toys ever (lol).

Please take care of yourself and prioritize your self-care. It's way too easy to put your well-being on the backburner; I've been utilizing the weekends for self-care and sleeping in. While I could be more "productive" with my time, it's so rejuvenating to be able to sleep in and get the rest my body needs. I've also made sure to make time for fun, playing games with the kids I babysit, chatting with friends, and enjoying shows (Sonic Prime was quite good, and I look forward to the rest of the episodes when they finally release). Be gentle with yourself and allow yourself to do what you love. There's no need to be miserable; enjoy the gift of life and have fun! Have a wonderful rest of your holiday weekend! Stay blessed with love and light, everyone, and find your freedom!
