A Chill Week~

Writer's picture: JessicaJessica

I hope everyone is doing well! It was a fairly chill week here. As sweet as the dogs were, I was so grateful to be back home after Monday; there's nothing better than getting a good night's sleep, and the barking definitely was interfering with that. Tsuki was super grateful for me to be back home, too! It was a pretty normal week, full of babysitting/tutoring, writing, creating art, and Tsuki bonding time. It was quite nice.

It was rough Sunday night, as despite how tired I was and how little sleep I had gotten the past two nights due to the dogs barking, I wasn't able to fall asleep. No matter my efforts, sleep remained elusive. Didn't look forward to getting up for school drop off at 6:30 am. I did look forward to being back home and sleeping in my own bed with the added bonus of no barking dog. No matter how sweet the dogs are, I need my sleep.

It was quite nice going to sleep in my own bed and actually being able to sleep. While I could still have used more sleep, it was so nice getting much needed rest. My dream recall was somewhat fuzzy. I was at a ceramics studio that seemed to be the one from college. I was working on some projects. I think the main one was a vase that was created using a slab of clay and a mold. I think coworkers from when I worked at the preschool were there. There seemed to be an event or I was going to travel somewhere, or something. Specific details got muddled, but whatever it was felt really important. More definitely happened, but I couldn't remember anything else upon waking.

I did sleep better Tuesday night, but when I woke up in the morning, I was quite tempted to go back to sleep. I didn't particularly want to get up, and my dream recall was completely murky, making it impossible to recall anything of note. Sleep didn't come too easily on Wednesday night, and it got interrupted by intense, sharp cramps in the middle of the night. It wasn't fun. Needless to say, I was quite tired when I woke up on Thursday. Dream recall was just as foggy when I woke up on Friday morning, too. It feels like big things could be happening in the dreamscape, but I have no idea what actually is transpiring.

I enjoyed sleeping in on Saturday morning, and it was magnificent. It'd be nice if I could sleep in until I naturally woke up every morning. There might have been something about shopping or school in my dream, but the details were really fuzzy. I was just grateful to wake up feeling rather rested for a change. I was able to sleep in this morning, too, which was absolutely glorious. It's so wonderful not having to get up right away. My dream recall was still hazy, though, so I'm not sure what ended up transpiring.

The boys had a blast discussing Spy x Family this week and were super excited to hear that I had finally watched the newest episodes. The younger brother loved telling me all about how he spent his birthday weekend, too, and how amazing the new Puss in Boots movie is. The boys enjoyed discussing Spy x Family all week, and they even came up with a cross over idea between Spy x Family and SK8 the Infinity with the two fake families; it sounded quite funny. They came up with so many theories for Spy x Family and Pokémon, and it was great seeing their enthusiasm.

Tsuki was her typical goofy self this week. She enjoyed taking plenty of cat naps, stealing paper beads, and birdwatching. Tsuki also enjoyed cuddling next to me and lounging on my lap/chest. She played with boxes, sprawled out on her chair and the table, and decided she was the boss of everything. She can be such a nut.

Artwork for the week included more paper beads that Tsuki loved stealing:

I wrote more content for Creativity Chronicles this week! I also created new content for Luck's List! Feel free to check out the newest articles!

I also did a bit of poetry writing when I got stuck on article writing. It was a nice change of pace, and from the feedback I got inside the AMBSDR community, I did a great job of conveying a powerful message with this newest piece.

I enjoyed spending some downtime with anime this week; I definitely could have spent it doing more writing, but I was feeling a bit burnt out. I decided to watch Romantic Killer instead, and I really enjoyed it! I eagerly look forward to seeing how they continue the story! It was a refreshing twist to romantic stories with Anzu doing her darndest not to get into a romantic relationship. I definitely felt more rejuvenated afterwards, so I hope you all do something you enjoy, too! Self-care is miraculous, so don't neglect your needs--you deserve happiness! Have a wonderful rest of your weekend and follow your heart! Be blessed with love and light, everyone, and it's okay if you're having a bad day! You're allowed to experience all of your emotions, no matter what they may be. Wishing you lots of love and happiness!
