Happy February!

I hope everyone is doing well! Hard to believe we're already in February; time sure seems to be flying. No matter what life throws your way, make sure to take time for you; you matter and there's always a good reason to show yourself some TLC! It's been a somewhat full and busy week--a lot of the normal: babysitting/tutoring, pet sitting, writing, creating art, hanging out with Tsuki, chatting with my online friends, watching anime, etc. Life has its ups and downs (such as bodily rebellions), but there are always reasons to be grateful if you're willing to look.

I woke up to a neighbor's dog being extra barky on Monday morning. Not sure why. Dream recall was also extra fuzzy, so I had no idea what transpired. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings played out rather similarly; could not remember a thing that occurred in the dream realm. I thought Friday night into Saturday morning would prove better, but then I got to deal with bodily rebellion which drastically interfered with sleep. Not fun times.

Sleep was better this morning, although I did wake up several times. One time I think I was startled awake, convinced that I was late for something for whatever reason. I think a dog was barking at another point. I wouldn't have minded sleeping longer, but then I wasn't able to fall back asleep. Dream recall was still fairly fuzzy, but I think it involved travel of some sort. Kinda wish I could remember details because it had seemed interesting, but no dice--things were veiled in a haze. Maybe I'll remember things next time.

The boys had some slow mornings this week, not exactly eager to go to school. They still had a good time, though. They enjoyed chatting with me, telling me about their classes (the younger brother was telling me about all the things he's been making in his cooking class). They were also showing me Pokémon memes, and some of them were pretty funny. It's also the younger brother's birthday this weekend, and he's pretty excited to celebrate. He was pretty excited about my gift for him. So, we got back from school Friday afternoon, and he asked if he should open up his gift.

Me: It's your gift, so you can open it up whenever you want.

Him: Hmm.... okay. I'm going to open it up when I'm dead.

Me: If that's what you really want, you can make that choice 🤣

He then opened it and was all, "Oh boy! It's totally Zoro, my favorite character!" (it wasn't--it was Sanji from One Piece because he said that was his favorite)

Me: Oh, definitely. It's Zoro 🤣

Him: Of course, it's Zoro! He's obviously my favorite!

He then ran up to display it in his room; it was nice I could help bring some joy into his life.

Tsuki had a fun week for play, rest, and relaxation. She loved snuggling with me, getting cozy on her favorite chair, the couch, or her cat house, and comfy cat naps. Tsuki decided to play with all sorts of things, such as the new pop-it ball I got, a paper bag, and a bag of cat food my sister left out (it ended up full of holes lol). She was also super excited that the heater on the porch finally got fixed; she always wants to go out on the porch, even in these cold winter months (once Tsuki gets fixated on something, she stays laser focused on it until she gets what she wants). It was a pretty chill week for Tsuki, and she's always fun to be around.

This week I created more new content for Creativity Chronicles as well as YouTube shorts, so feel free to check out the newest articles and shorts!

New Creativity Chronicles' articles included:

When life throws you curveballs and things get hectic, remember to be gentle with yourself. You're doing the best you can. You don't have all the answers--you're only human. As such, you're allowed to have your feelings and areas of challenge and growth. You don't have to be "perfect." Just be yourself and the best version of yourself you can at the moment. The you today doesn't have to have it all together; you can work on improving things over time. It's okay to go at your own pace and take things slow if you need to. Doing the best you can at any given moment is all anyone can do, so don't judge yourself so harshly. It's okay to take breaks. It's okay to get assistance and support. It's okay to lean on others--there will be other things you excel at that others will lean on you for. No matter what your struggles or flaws are, you matter. The world is a better place with you in it, so allow yourself to be authentic and follow your heart. Step by step, you'll progress forward and accomplish incredible feats! Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
